Alexander HI-TEK

ALEXANDER
As all you know that i am a fashion student in Alexander collage (university
of the west of England in Bristol). Few months ago we had the opportunity to see
Alexander (HI-TEK) that came to our collage to talk about his carrier, how he became
so famous, about the materials he uses for his designs e.t.c. Also he gave us some advices
as new/young fashion designers what he have to do to become famous, to stand on
our own feet because is very difficult in Cyprus to become what you really want because
the opportunities aren’t that much. But of all the things and tips he told us we became
more confident and we can see the future in Cyprus and not only. The thing that he told
us and it didn't came out of my mind is that you have to LOVE what we are doing,
we are going to fall but we have to stand up again on our feet because fashion
industry is difficult. Also we gave us the opportunity if we want to
work with him for experience. That is a must that we have to do because he
came and talk to us for one hour, and we learned a lot. So thing
if we work with him how many things, tips, opportunities we will have.

On the photo i am the model and i am wearing his first creation, which is awesome :)

This is who actually Alexander is:

AlexanderTasou, designer of Hi Tek Designs started what he calls his "project"from as early as the
80's, bringing industrial design and surrealism to hisaccessories.

Sunglasses, hats, masks, belts, watches, clocks, bags or briefcases, any of his designs or accessories,
are never "in"or "out" of fashion.
Alexander's timeless designs can be worn byeither gender throughout decades and will always make
a statement, will alwayslook ahead of time, the designs edgy and stand out.

This designer likes to give different uses anddifferent magnitude to objects of their otherwise
conventional size and use. Hewould use handcuffs as the frame for sunglasses or a blown up corkscrew
as abar stool, a pyramid as a watch case.
Integrating the past, even the ancient, with thedistant future, nowadays called "Steampunk"
is Alexander's passion.
